Meet Our October Co-hosts: FilaFab Team
We are back from the TCT 2016 where we had the opportunity to catch up with the latest developments in the 3d printing world. We saw some of the major players in the industry, as well the newest, promising startups. Our team got to see cutting-edge machines in action and we brought home loads of filament samples. But ultimately, our favourite part was meeting the makers behind the most innovative products we saw. We want you to meet them too, so we have invited the fabulous team of FilaFab to co-host our October chat, taking place on Thursday, the 20th at 8pm GMT+1.
Kickstarter Success Story
FilaFab is a product by D3D Innovations Limited. D3D Innovations Limited is a company set up by Edward Clifford to bring game-changing developments to the 3D printing industry and beyond. FilaFab aims to remove barriers to the amazing world of 3D printing by reducing costs and the environmental impact of this fast-growing industry. Edward is an electronics engineer by trade and has over 10 years of product design and research and development experience and likes nothing less than spending his days designing, innovating and creating, and of course 3D printing. After three years of rigorous research, development, and tireless work, he and his team have come up with a desktop extrusion system that enables users to produce high-quality filament from pellets, old prints, and recycled plastics.
FilaFab is now the market leading desktop extrusion system. Yes, things are moving quickly in the 3D printing industry! The FilaFab Pro is a miniaturised industrial extrusion line so users can experiment with new colours and compounds. Edward and his team have developed four different models of their flagship product that can extrude a variety of materials including ABS, PLA, EVA, HDPE, NYLON and also recycle household plastics. You can find FilaFab machines in 3D printing hubs, universities, colleges, polymer companies, materials labs and blue chip companies.
Edward and his team will share their expertise on filaments, product design, successful crowdfunding and anything 3D printing related on Thursday, 20th October, 8-9pm GMT+1. Fire your questions at them, using our #chat3d!
